The National Federation of the Blind is the oldest and largest nationwide organization of blind Americans. Through our network of blind members, we coordinate many programs, services, and resources to defend the rights of blind Americans, provide information and support to blind children and adults, and build a community that creates a future full of opportunities.

Program Description:

The National Federation of the Blind's extensive legal program has helped advance disability rights case law under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, creating more equitable workplaces, classrooms, and communities for blind Americans. Legal program services include access to legal information, education, high-stakes testing, parental rights, and employment. NFC provides federal and local resource lists to assist in self-advocacy in blindness-related legal matters.
